How to split a PDF
Often you only need part of a document, such as one invoice from a combined file or a chapter from a report. Here you choose the pages you want and save them as a new PDF or as separate files. The original stays unchanged.
- Select a PDF file. The preview shows every page with its number.
- Enter the pages, for example 2, 5-7, and choose one combined PDF or one PDF per page.
- Create the files and download them.
Entering pages correctly
Separate single pages with commas and write ranges with a hyphen, for example 1, 3, 8-10. The pages appear in the order you type them, so with 3, 1 page 3 comes first. An empty field includes all pages.
One PDF or many?
“Selected pages in one PDF” creates a new document with all chosen pages. “One PDF per page” splits the selection into separate files, which is handy for invoices or forms. Up to 30 separate files are possible per run.
Frequently asked questions
Is my original changed?
No. A new file is always created. Your original stays unchanged on your device.
How do I download many single pages?
When there are several results, you can download each file separately or all of them together as a ZIP file.
Can I use this to delete pages from a PDF?
Yes. Select every page except the ones you want to drop, for example 1-4, 6-10 to remove page 5. It is even easier with “Organize PDF pages”, where you remove pages with a single click.
Which PDFs are supported?
PDFs with up to 150 pages and 25 MB. Password-protected files cannot be opened. Digital signatures and form fields may be missing from the new files.
